As Night Falls
, KSUI’s jazz program from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday evenings, features an eclectic mix of jazz from the classics of Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong-to sultry Latin sounds and World music-to some of the most intriguing techniques offered via contemporary jazz.

Three area musicians serve as co-hosts for the program:

Dan Moore picture Percussionist Dan Moore offers a particularly strong knowledge of multicultural music. Moore, best known locally for his work with the popular University of Iowa PanAmerican Steel Band, is an internationally recognized percussionist, composer and expert in world music. He is director of percussion studies at the University of Iowa.
John Rapson picture John Rapson is a professional musician and director of jazz studies at the University of Iowa. Rapson has taken the lead in recording six albums and has appeared on 17 other albums as a sideman or conductor.

John Rapson hosts the Saturday night programs and Dan Moore hosts the program on Sunday nights.
